Applying bio-based materials in a raw form without any dye or paint gives an undeniably honest and fundamentally natural appearance, beautifully contrasted by the striking, high performing and bio-based BIOptic gold lens. Those goggles made in 90% bio based materials.

The Östra Bio POLARIZED features a bio-based lens called BIOptic, a 3-layer construction in 75% biodegradable cellulose. The strap is mainly woven in hemp and the corn-based frame material out-performs conventional materials as it retains its softness and comfort at very low temperatures. The bio-plastic detailing found in pivoting outriggers, lens holder and strap adjustors are 100% derived from castor oil and a polarized BIOptic spare lens for enhanced contrast in poor light conditions is included.
